Pre-wedding Jitters....

So my best friend from home is getting married this weekend. The ceremony is Friday night at her church she's gone to since 2nd grade and then a reception after is just for immediate family and closest friends at the country club. Saturday night is the big soiree with all the friends and family. My family and I are going to both.
I am not a bridesmaid, because she chose not to have bridesmaids (just her sister). This is perfectly okay with me. I am going with her Thursday to get manis and pedis and get to do all the fun stuff, but don't have to deal with wearing an ugly dress or any of that. It just meant more money I got to put towards her awesome shower! :)

So anyway, I woke up this morning to a text from my little bridey, who I think is getting a little bit of cold feet:

Bride: Watching Oprah on Lorena Bobbitt: Where is She now. Perfect example of the wifedom I'm headed to.
Me: Hahahah I saw that episode. Fucked up. Why in God's name do you think that's where you're headed?!?!?!
Bride: I don't necessarily, it's just nice to know someone else has gone there if I ever snap, haha.
Me: Haha. Okay then. Are you having a little bit of cold feet?
Bride: No I'm really excited. Three weeks ago if someone had given me a ticket to Mexico I would have thought about it but people tell me that's normal.
Me: Well we are going to have so much fun and then you get to honeymoon!

10 minutes later....

Bride: Meh, Tanya and Lorena weren't as badass as I thought they'd be. And it took them 15 years just to get on Oprah. Better stick to being a good wife.
Me: Yeah, or come up with something totally new.
Bride: True. If someone can top cutting off a guys penis, it's either you or me.

Ha. So my friend is really funny (hopefully this came across as funny and not as crazy... or maybe a little of both, whatever).

Any advice for the bride-to-be, or for me as a supportive friend? (Besides Xanax and champagne to our pedicure appts... I've got that covered! Ha)
